Demand for two and a half years imprisonment in the Raja case
Deputy attorney Sven Olle Nollin tells VG that he will follow by asking that the politician also receive 150,000 kroner in compensation.
Mohammad must be detained in prison while the offending threat is being dealt with in Oslo District Court. He denied punishment at the start of the case.
– I have never threatened him, and to say what I think of him, I think you will find that is within the freedom of expression act. To say You Pig and ‘go to Hell ‘ may not be everyday language, but we say such things in Norway, said Mohammad, who has lived in Norway since he was three years old.
The 32-year-old unemployed Islamist said in Oslo District court that he does not respect the laws made by human beings. He added that he did not want to live in Norway, and if there was a country governed by the Muslim Sharia law, he would have moved there .
When the accusation was read, Mohammad answered no to the question of whether he acknowledged a punishment. The text messages were sent in anger because he felt Raja with his statements bullied users of the hijab and nikab, something members of his own family did.
– He thinks he did not threaten Raja, but that he just said what he and Islam think is right about the headgear , and that he just matched the same level of debate that Raja had already started, his defending lawyer Brynjar Meling, told NTB.
